I graduated from 8th grade in 1952 from ps 73. it was a very successful community school with teachers who had been there many years who knew all the students and kept up with their progress over the years. In my case they encouraged my interest in art, which I believe was a strong basis for my being accepted at music and art high school and my career as an architect.

I graduated in 1959 when it was a k-8 school. Loved it. Helped set up the library with Mrs. Godfrey when I was in the 5th Grade. "Give a cheer for dear old 73, the school for you and me."
