I have been at mayo since pre-k and now I will be going to Edison for middle school. I feel like mayo teaches you academic stuff, but also a lot of life lessons. (I know how cheesy that sounds but it is true!) Mayo in my opinion is very different from other TPS elementary schools. In pre- k you are being a kid and playing instead of learning how to be a mathematical robot! ( I LOVED PLAYING KITCHEN BTW!!!!!) I think that mayo is very diverse. We learn about different cultures and how people celebrate their cultures. An example of this is when it is around the holiday season, we don''t just talk about Christmas like some other schools do, we talk about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, and Chinese New Year. Mayo has taught me that people are different and that is ok. It doesn''t matter who they love, their culture, their race, or where they live. When I went to mayo I felt safe there. I was not bullied and I had lots of friends who share the same interests in things. Overall a 10/10. Here are a few of my favorite teachers Mr. Najera, miss. Smith, Mrs.Bormann, and miss. Beckman. So hope this helps. - A person who cares
