School Reviews

I think Gilchrist School is severely lacking in most departments. There are no extracurricular activities like music or art except for two weeks out of the year when they have an artist from the community come in and teach the kids how to make a clay pot, or make a basket. The only extracurricular activities the kids have is sports. I have a problem with that, because not every kid likes sports, or is able to play sports. So the kids that don't are left with nothing. This school focuses all of it's time and energy on Football, Basketball, and Volleyball. The principal is only concerned with keeping the numbers up. All the kids are to her is a number. The kids are not safe when they are at the school because nothing is ever done to stop kids from bullying others. There have been complaints made time and time again to no avail.
